11/16/12: Mom of 4 needs to find a full-time job (preferably with benefits) ASAP. She also needs her ex to pay his child and spousal support. Her praises include looking forward to spending time with family through the holidays and her children have adjusted well to their new schools.
9/7/12: see Special Requests for a Mom We Know Update 9/19/12: Trial went well and sentencing was near what Mom of 4 expected and had hoped for. Final divorce proceedings have been scheduled for 12/3/12. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.
9/6/12: Mom of 1 desires to home school her daughter in the future, but is feeling overwhelmed at the prospect. Please pray as the Spirit leads and that she will be attuned to the Spirit as He gives her the best discernment she needs. She is also struggling spiritually and is trying to put God back in the center of all she does. Pray for the Holy Spirit's power to help her stay focused on Him alone.
8/2/12: Praise! I don't have all of the details, but Mom of 1 whose request from 5/22/12, had trial and came away from it praising God for His provision. We're thankful that all went well.
7/31/12: Mom of 4 has divorce trial date on 8/10/12 and moving to FL on 8/12/12. She is asking for God's provision and protection during the move and transition. She is also praying for enough help loading the truck in KY and unloading in FL. Update 9/6/12: Family has settled in to their new home which included kids going to public schools for the first time and mom going to a new college. God provided abundantly during their transition. Mom was also award full custody and child support that should cover their expenses.
7/31/12: Mom of 4 requests prayer for 5th C-section coming up on 9/5/12. Pray for all to go well and safe delivery for her and the baby.

7/13/12: Mom of 1 has requested pray for new place to rent. Her lease is up in October.
7/11/12: Pray for God's wisdom, leading and provision for our upcoming fifth Single Moms' Night Out, now scheduled for September 21st. We are hoping to have enough volunteers and donations to open this up to the families of South Pointe (a low income neighborhood). Please join us in seeking His will and guidance for what could be a huge endeavor.
6/18/12: Our daughter, Abbey, and I have begun thinking of ways to raise money for future missions trips and service opportunities to serve God by serving the widow, the orphan and the deeply impoverished. Please pray for God's continued guidance in this area. One praise: God opened a door through a friend of a friend of a friend for Abbey & I to babysit on 6/15/12. The couple were excited to hear we were raising money for missions trips and paid us over 3 times our asking rate. It was a HUGE blessing and gave us a little "zap" of excitement to see what God will do and how He will provide!
6/14/12: We've begun volunteering on Thursday evenings at a government subsidized neighborhood in an area town. Last week more than 40 children and teens turned out to play games, eat ice cream sandwiches and just hang out. This ministry was not started by us, but we are excited to serve as a family alongside others who have the passion to serve the deeply impoverished, the widow and the orphan. We've been told that as many as 90% of the families in this neighborhood may be headed by a single mom. Please pray that God will open up opportunities to build relationships, show His Love and kindness and to serve others as we serve Him. 7/11/12: Although we have been unable to attend these events due to scheduling conflicts, our desire is to participate and for God to open doors for us to get to know the moms and families that live here. There is a group of adults that have been doing AMAZING work with the kids and now we are hoping to open up our Single Moms' Night Out events to the moms. This could be a tool for First Church to stay in contact with the South Pointe families throughout the school year.
6/7/12: Mom of 2 in Indiana is experience severe financial difficulties as she has been unable to find a job in her chosen profession. She not only needs provision from God, she also needs peace that He will lead her to the job that will bring Him the most glory as she trusts Him daily!
6/4/12: Mom of 2 is flying out Saturday, June 9th and would appreciate prayers. This is a one-way trip where she and her children will be beginning a new chapter in their lives. Please pray for their transition and for mom's peace during the flight also. She does not like to fly! Update 6/18/12: Praise! bhMom of 2 arrived in AZ and is beginning again. She already thinks she's found a church and is positively facing this new phase in her family's life.
6/3/12: Expecting mom has some tangible needs for her upcoming delivery. Please pray God provides for the baby in His timing and to give mom peace in the waiting.
6/1/12: Expecting mom has 15 weeks left in her very high risk pregnancy. She has asked for prayers that everything goes well with the rest of the pregnancy and the delivery.
