Finally! A No Soy, No Whey Protein Bar


I just found this at our local Kroger Marketplace and I had to share the love. We have eaten Larabars for a few years now and sometimes make our own variation at home. We have occasionally eaten store bought protein bars, but I've always avoided milk-based whey protein and soy-based. Even if you're lucky to find the rare bar that has organic, non-GMO soy, it's just plain unhealthy to have too much soy.

Larabar has solved my ongoing dilemma of finding a healthy snack for on-the-go that tastes great too! They use pea protein and brown rice protein and the Lemon Pound Cake version was yummy! They still consist mostly of dates and nuts, but with the added plant protein boost have a total of 10 grams protein!  So now this snack isn't just loaded with protein, but is gluten free, dairy free, non-GMO, vegan and delicious.
